The quality of minitrucks, both cruisin' the street and tearing up the show fields, has multiplied drastically over the last few years. One of the biggest reasons for the bar being raised are the amazing shops out there catering to one-of-a-kind minitruck builds. It used to be that "minitruck shops" pumped out quick cheap work and we all just got to enjoy hittin' the switches until something broke. Well now, there's actual "hot rod shops" building minitrucks with the same quality of craftsmanship as a custom rod at a fraction of the price. It still takes some saving to pimp the nice work, but if you're as picky as we are then these new shops have what you're looking for!

We caught up with Troy Gudgel to check out all the cool projects he has at his shop. There are hot rods on jack stands right next to minitrucks and that's a beautiful sight! Troy and his crew at BBT Fabrications have been bringing this hot rod quality work to the minitruck world for the last few years. They specialize in everything from chassis builds, to sheetmetal work, to interior and paint. Truly a one-stop shop for frame-off builds, BBT is definitely making a name for itself not only in the Midwest, but all over the country! To get in touch with Troy and see what else he has going on check out the Shop Lowdown for all the info and stay tuned to see some of these amazing projects finished right here in the pages of your favorite magazine.
