Chevy has always been one of the United States' most popular trucks, and when it comes to the custom side of things, it's no different. The S-10 has been a staple in the custom-truck scene for decades and when Chevy first introduced the Colorado, of course, there was skepticism from S-10 fans. But, all of that has subsided and the Colorado is quickly becoming one of the coolest-looking trucks to lay flat on the ground. We hooked up with the GTC fab guys to show us just how easy their new Colorado/Canyon rear 'bag setup kit is to install. Just follow along, and if you have any questions, contact the company listed in the Source Box.

6. We removed the upper gas tank crossmember, including the crossmember mounts on the framerails. Then, attached the wishbone link to the differential bracket and the new upper gas tank crossmember. With the rear-end in its correct position, we used the gas tank's indention and attached the wish bone link to find the correct placement for the new crossmember.

7a. With the lower link axle tabs welded onto the rear end, parallel to the framerails, we set the lower link bars to 18.5 inches and marked the framerails to drill the holes to mount the lower link frame mount. The lower-link frame mount can also be welded on at this point.

8a. We ensured the upper shock crossmember was level and 1 inch from the top and side of the notch, then we welded it into place. The shock crossmember was built to be installed in a diamond shape with the tabs facing the rear of the vehicle.
