2000 Toyota Tacoma - Raw Power

The folks at Python Injection have developed a microcomputer-controlled nitrous system called the Venom VCN-2000 that can tell whether your engine is running rich or lean and then shut the nitrous off at the appropriate time. It's also programmable, so you can choose how much of a boost you want the nitrous to give you. The danger of using too much nitrous oxide and the inevitable pre-detonation that occurs from a lean condition is completely avoided by using the Venom kit. The kit includes all of the hardware and all of the software to program the system from laptop or P.C., making a quick installation possible. Follow along with us as the knowledgeable staff at Python installs their incredible nitrous system on a 2000 Toyota Tacoma.

These wires were tapped into using T connections so that the nitrous control module can control the amount of fuel being supplied to the engine while on the bottle.

22. The truck was then strapped down onto the chassis dyno at Harv's Performance Center, and we made several pulls in Third gear to judge the improved performance the Venom nitrous system offered. The numbers speak for themselves. We improved the power output of the V-6 by nearly 50 hp and 70 lb-ft of torque after only a couple hours of work.
