This simple mod can really make your truck scream. The cost of supplies, plus a little skill, can really bring your truck to life. The keys to a good metal-flake paintjob are to make sure you prep the roof properly, mix the paint right, then buff, and cut the roof to a smooth finish.  The rule of thumb is to tape off everything that you don't want to sparkle. And we mean everything! |  Use a razorblade to make sharp lines and curves, this will help to create a smoother flowing separation. |  Next, we prepped the surface by giving it a quick D.A. treatment. Then, we thoroughly cleaned the area for paint. |
 Our red basecoat was laid down nice and even. We let it dry and gave it two full coats. |  We mixed the House of Kolor Rainbow Metallic Flake into the clear to provide a good adhesive. In a final paintjob, you should buff, cut, then reclear. |  It was time to shine. The flake coat was sprayed lightly and evenly to ensure proper coverage. |
