Tech Tips:
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Use new crimpers.
3. Test the voltage with a test-light.
4. Use no more than two Sparkoo rods.
 1.To start, we'll route a...  1.To start, we'll route a power wire from the battery into the cab of the truck. This is where we'll make the connection between the Wildsparks switch, the power, and the Sparkoo units we'll be installing at the rear of the truck. |  2.Next, the wire was run through...  2.Next, the wire was run through the firewall and down the passenger-side of the cab, where we simply routed the switch wire from between the seats to the wiring coming from the battery. |  3.All it took was a couple...  3.All it took was a couple of crimps to bring power to the switch and allow us extra wire (included) to route the switched main power wire toward the rear of the truck. |
 4.Moving to the back of the...  4.Moving to the back of the truck, we used the L-brackets supplied in the kit to mount the Sparkoo units. |  5.Because the framerail already...  5.Because the framerail already has holes in it, we simply marked the L-brackets, drilled them on a drill press, and bolted them directly to each framerail from the outside. There is no right way to install the brackets; just make sure they've been secured to the chassis of the vehicle. |  6.Here's the mounting bracket...  6.Here's the mounting bracket completely installed. |
 7.Next, determine the left...  7.Next, determine the left and right Sparkoo units by looking for the R and L marked on each unit. Install the Sparkoo unit by sliding three clamps onto the unit and then sliding the unit over the L-bracket. |  8.Make sure to tighten all...  8.Make sure to tighten all three clamps on the L-bracket to secure the Sparkoo unit under the truck. Also, be sure the opening in the unit is rotated to where you want the sparks to go - out the back of the truck! |  9.With the unit in place and...  9.With the unit in place and rotated properly, run the power wire from the cab rearward, and connect it to the wiring that extends from the Sparkoo units. Make sure you don't have any loose wiring; zip ties are our friends. Also be sure to ground the Sparkoo unit. |
