Good Start
Brian Prochilo from Northport, New York, is the proud owner of this '95 Ford Ranger. Brian didn't want his truck to look like every other Ranger out there, so he started by adding 17x8-inch Ford Mustang Mach 1 wheels, wrapped in Goodyear 245/45ZR17 Eagle ZR45 tires. However, that wasn't enough, so next up was the 3/4 drop from DJM suspension, which brought the Ranger even closer to Earth. On the outside, he decided to upgrade some of the factory components with items like projector headlights and clear corners, '00 Ranger taillights, a smoked third brake light, a Sir Michael's stainless steel roll pan, SS Cal-Vu Mirrors, '06 Ranger emblems, Xenon front bumper cover and air dam, a Extang soft tonneau cover, a custom Shorty antenna, an ASMi intake, and a Gibson cat-back exhaust. Then, he repainted it all in a custom-mixed blue pearl.
The Dawg
There are a couple modifications that Clint Hayes wants to do to his B-Series Mazda, like airbags and killer paint. But in the meantime, Clint has cranked down on the torsion bars up front, removed some leafs, and added a 3-inch lowering block to the back. The rest of the progress on the truck includes shaved doors and tailgate. To open the doors by remote, he installed AutoLoc's electronic door release. To make it a little more comfy inside, Brian swapped out the factory seating and upgraded the dash to a new version. He also ditched the OEM radio and speakers in favor of Sony and Fosgate equipment.
Me, Myself, and Ryan Davis
Adam Teal of Gurley, Alabama, bought his '84 Nissan 720 for a whole $300. He replaced the motor, got it mechanically sound, then started cutting away on it. His friend, Ryan Davis, has helped Adam install the 'bagged suspension, which includes Air Lift 'bags all the way around, and controlling the ride height by eight SMC 3/8-inch valves. To thoroughly plant the front end on the ground, 2-inch drop spindles were bolted on, along with a notch and a two-link setup in the rear. The duo has also shaved everything on the truck, with the exception of the door handles. By the look of the bed, they did a really killer job. His future plans for the 720 include a stock-floor body-drop, 18-inch wheels, and a silver paintjob.
Not So Mellow Yellow
Josh Miles drives around in an '05 Chevrolet Colorado Extra Cab everyday. It doubles as his daily driver during the week and he takes it to shows on the weekends. Starting with the exterior side of things, you will find additions to the truck, such as a billet grille, cowl induction hood, bed liner, roll pan, black Euro taillights, and a 2/4 drop, over a set of black 20-inch Boss 313 wheels, and wrapped in Yokohama rubber. Adding to the creature comforts to the Colorado, he rewrapped stock seating and the door panels, while miscellaneous plastic pieces were treated to a fresh coat of yellow paint. Upgrading the sound, he employed a Panasonic double-din head unit, JL Audio mids and highs, which are pushed by a 120-watt amp. The thump in the system is achieved by a custom-made sub enclosure, which houses two 12-inch Kicker subs, powered by a 400-watt amp.
