Keepin' It in the Family
Luke Vaughn has been steadily working towards his dream of being in Mini Truckin' these past few years. Luke bought his S-10 bone stock from his Grandpa and wanted to make it into something special. From the very first issue of MT he picked up, Luke said looking at all the wicked rides and custom work pushed him to make his Dime into a custom that would turn heads. And Luke definitely succeeded, as you don't see too many rides like this in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Luke really wanted to thank his Dad for all he's taught him, and for showing Luke the ropes on the build of the S-10. Besides Mini Truckin' and www.minitruckinweb.com, another source of help and inspiration for Luke's ride were all of the great guys on s10forum.com and the crew at suicidedoors.com, as they've all helped him at one time or another. Keep it up, Luke. We look forward to seeing more from you in the future.
Rollin' Old-Skool
Roger Miller III from Republic, Missouri, has been cranking on his Mazda to get it rolling like you see here. Some of his custom touches include a full air suspension with Firestone 2,500-pound 'bags, a monoleaf rear setup, 4-GC 350 extreme 1/2-inch valves, a Viair 460 compressor, and a nitrogen tank. To keep it old-skool, Roger bolted up a set of 15-inch Pathfinder wheels. To smooth the exterior, the gas door, emblems, antenna, and mirrors have all been shaved. Moving inside, Roger added a custom sub box with two 10-inch JL W3s, powered by a Memphis 500d amp. The stock bench has been covered in black with red piping, while the custom-made door panels sport a tribal design made by Roger's wife. Billet armrests and window cranks finish off the look. Roger has tons of future plans and we're sure to see more updates.
She's a Keeper
Justin Crosson owns this '01 Chevy S-10 Xtreme, and he's put a lot of work, thought, and time into it. Justin doesn't get to work on his truck as much as he'd like, because he's in the Marine Corps. But in his spare time, Justin's managed to add a Goodmark steel cowl induction hood, clear corners, a Trenz billet grille, APC carbon-fiber Euro taillights, and a Belltech tailgate handle relocater-since he shaved his tailgate handle and still needs it to function. For stance and rolling attire, Justin bolted up a set of 20-inch D65 Black Ninjas from DIP, which were wrapped with Toyo rubber. A Gaylord XL200 hard tonneau cover with the molded Speedstur lid keeps his valuables locked safe in the bed, while a Generation Two front bumper from Street Scene with T-Rex billet insert finishes of the exterior stance. A MagnaFlow dual-exhaust cat-back system was enlisted to add a little rumble. The Dime sports Victory Red with the black racing stripe package from the factory, but Justin had them painted on the cowl hood and the tonneau cover. Future plans include a full shave job, as well as a full interior makeover, as time permits. We would like to thank Justin and his family for all of their sacrifices. Keep up the good work!
