Taco' Blanca
Phil Navas, a resident of Howell, New Jersey, has reworked his '02 Tacoma to resemble something a lot less stock than when he purchased it. Phil's Taco' lays on the ground via a full air-suspension setup, using components from Firestone, Parker, and VIAIR. The new low looks extra cool with the addition of 17-inch chrome Zenetti wheels and the billet grille insert. Phil also spiced things up with an Injen air intake, an 8,000k HID conversion, and chrome shocks all the way around. Inside, there's plenty of entertainment, thanks to a Pioneer flip TV partnered with a PlayStation 2 and Eclipse subwoofer.
Andy's Daily
Andrew Yacobucci is fortunate enough to have some pretty cool parents. Andy's stepdad, Rich Smerkar, and his mom pitched in on a wrecked '96 Chevy S-10 for Andy's first mini-truck. From there, it was a team effort to get the truck back on the road in decent working order. Not only did the family fix the smashed left rear, transmission, and rest of the mechanicals, but they also decided to do a few exterior modifications, including a custom-grafted Subaru Impreza front bumper. After lowering the truck and slapping on a set of Iroks, they laid down some graphics. Not bad for a daily driver. Not bad at all.
Mini-Trucker At Sea
Jason Shortt from Chilhowie, Virginia, is currently stationed on the USS Harry S. Truman, serving a six-month deployment. However, before he shipped out, he had enough time to lower his '01 Frontier and slap some 18-inch chrome wheels on. He also shaved all the emblems, the hood squirters, and the third brake light. Since the system he installed was stolen, Jason is currently building a box for four 15s and will be redoing the whole stereo when he gets back. His future plans include more shaving and a full 'bag job. Jason would like to thank his mom and dad and his girlfriend for all their support.
On Fire
Jeffrey Strumski from Keithville, Louisiana, rolls low with his head held high. Since this is his daily driver, he's done a few things here and there when money permitted, including adding graphics, euro tails, Boyd Coddington wheels, and a 2-inch drop lower than the factory S-10 Xtreme drop. Jeff plans on keeping the little mods coming until he finds the time and money to move onto the bigger things. He has also installed some tunes that get a little bass boost from two 12-inch Sony subwoofers powered by a 1,100-watt Memphis Audio amplifier. We're sure that Jeff represents big time in the Dirty South, and we look forward to the future plans.
