The New 2015 Chevy Colorado

The redefined midsize will offer real truck capabilities and versatility to those who don’t require a fullsize pickup. “The all-new Chevy Colorado benefits from the solid foundation established by the Chevy Silverado and it reinvents the midsize truck while reinvigorating the segment at the same time” says Mark Reuss, General Motors executive vice president and president of GM North America.

A 2.5L I-4 comes standard in the new Chevy Colorado, and a 3.6L V-6 is also available. The 2.5L is also available with a six-speed manual trans on extended cab and 2WD Work Truck models. The Colorado will also offer the segment’s only diesel engine in its second year -- a proven Duramax 2.8L I-4 turbodiesel already offered in global markets. Look for packages including an extended cab model with a 6-foot bed, a crew cab with a 5- or 6-foot bed, a WT, LT, and Z71 trim options. Howdy from Montana!

First off I’m glad to see that the minitrucking scene hasn’t faded into oblivion. I am an avid minitrucker from the early ’80s. Built my first show truck back in 1987. Now I’m on a mission to find her replacement. I’ve hit the craigslist ads here and there with no such luck. Is there a hiding place where all these classic minis can be found? All I’m looking for is one that I can do a basic static drop on, nothing fancy. Thus the reason why I’m asking the minitruckin families out there to possibly give this aging (49) minitrucker a hand.

Thanks in advance,

JJ

JJ,

Yep, we haven’t gone anywhere. Actually, we were waiting for you to come back. Sorry if that sounds a little on the creepy side. Anyways, thanks for writing in, and it’s awesome to hear about you scouting for a new mini project. Craigslist is actually a great place to start looking for a truck, but we would suggest expanding your search by looking at ads from surrounding cities/counties/states. The truck you’re after may be only a couple hours away from your front door step. Also, you can try eBay, Mautofied.com, good ol’ Facebook minitruck community pages, or you can email us for help (that is if you’ll be kind enough to put up a finder’s fee hehe). Good luck in your search, sir, and please keep us in the loop!
