Mini Trucker Custom Plates
We've gotten a ton of cool plates, but we're still missing quite a few states. Eventually all the plates donated will go up on our website to vote on your favorites from each state. If you would like to help out and send us one of your extra custom plates, email firstname.lastname@example.org for the details. This month we feature three unique plates: BGD TOY from Barry Buxbaum in Springfield, Missouri, BUMPY from Eric Homsby Jacob in Kentucky, and H8BMP2 from Michael Catalano in South Australia. We can't wait to see which ones come in next!
Hey Mr. DJ
The one thing that is always good to have at any auto event is GOOD music, and the best way to pump the jams non-stop is by having a really good DJ. When it comes to choosing a DJ that can mix it up in the lower states like Texas and Louisiana, you always call DJ Get Low, AKA, "Freddie Hatfield." Unfortunately for us, he will be MIA in the south for the next year because he wanted to take his skills to the next level and go to school in Manhattan, New York. The good news is that he will still be at Tex Mex, Scrapin' The Coast, and Pandemonium for 2010. Get Low has been in the minitruckin' scene from the age of 16 and has made a musical impact as a DJ by kicking out some killer mash-ups for us all. Get Low is also the official DJ for Ekstensive Metal Works and Twisted Inc. So if you're in New York or a neighboring state and want to take advantage of his talent or just check out some of his jams, then hit him up at myspace.com/djgetlowtx, or email email@example.com.
In our January 2010 issue, we featured the Indianapolis based show Slamology. In this article, the writer gave the credit to Donnie Babb for starting Indy Truck Bash, but actually Donnie is just one of the guys that helped to make that show a huge success. To produce a show of that magnitude, it takes a large team of dedicated enthusiasts and business people alike. Indianapolis-based Truck & Car Club Latest Craze has been the brains and sweat behind Truck Bash for over 15 years. Yes, Truck Bash has been off the show calendar and Slamology is now the must-see show for Indy and surrounding areas. So expect to see more of Latest Craze at shows like Slamology and others in the years to come. For more information on Slamology, visit Slamology.com.
