It's Not Just The American Automakers Feeling Economic Stress
Honda Motor Co. announced that it would cut production in North America by 62,000 vehicles, shutting down factories for 13 days starting in May. They also announced probable pay cuts for salaried and factory workers. The Japanese automaker, which like its rivals, has been hit by the sharp downturn in auto sales, also offered buyouts and early retirement incentives to most of its 32,400 workers in the United States and Canada.
MiniTrucker Custom Plates
We decided it was time to properly outfit our office and show off for all the visitors and other magazines that aren't quite as cool as us, but we need your help. We want to decorate wall-to-wall with custom license plates from every state and from around the world. So each month we will be featuring a cool custom plate that one of our generous readers was kind enough to donate to the cause. The creativity that goes into some of these one-of-a-kind plates is amazing. If you would like to help out, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for all the details. This month's plate was donated by Sam Thomas from Princeton, West Virginia, and is pretty self-explanatory reading: LOWONAIR.
