Subject: It's Not A Mini Bro!!!!!

Yeah,

I have a situation I would like some help resolving. The boys in my truckin club (17DEEP) say a mini is trucks and blazer styles only and I say nay currently I am in a build process of a 1993 Dodge Grand Caravan SE. Sounds llame huh but it is a mini van they are convinced it is not considered a mini either way I could care less its mine and I will continue to build it.Thats all for now 17DEEP scrappin 4 life

Hey Keith,

Well, your fellow club members are right, the majority of the makes and models do fall under the pickup and small to midsize SUVs. But on the other hand, you're kinda right too. Technically, your Dodge is a mini van, but without seeing a photo of it, we'll take a shot in the dark and guess that you've ‘bagged your Grand Caravan already, or are at least planning on doing it based on the simple fact you're in a minitruck club. Now, your pink slip may call your ride an ordinary van, but if you're reading our mag, taking the time to email in, and hanging out with pesky minitruckers, then consider your Dodge a mini—at least in spirit.


Fat Attack
The bigger you are, the greater the chance is you will die from injuries sustained in an accident. At least that's what the University of Buffalo found in a study of fatal accidents. In severe wrecks, moderately obese individuals face a 21-percent greater risk of death while morbidly obese folks are 56-percent more to kick the bucket. With a whopping one-third of the population in America now considered obese, Dr. Dietrick Jehle, professor of emergency medicine at the University of Buffalo School of Medicine suggests that carmakers test and develop new safety equipment using big boned crash dummies. Guess there's little truth to the old saying; "more cushion for the pushin'."
