I was sitting here at work and debating what I wanted to write my column on, when I realized that it was 8 p.m. and I had already been at work for 10 hours. Normally this doesn't bother me too much, because I'm kind of a workaholic. But the difference this time was I had a really big reality check: I realized my kids are growing up faster than I can imagine. It hit me like a freight train. Sure, I'm getting older, but that doesn't bother me too much. I'm still enjoying trucks, today, as much as I did in 1989, when I first picked up an issue of Mini Truckin' magazine at the local store. But, today I realized it's not just about me getting older and not being home; it's about my wife and kids, too

I was downloading minitruck photos off of my camera when I came upon some pictures of my kids. When I had put them on my computer, I realized they don't look anything like the other older pics that were already on my computer. So, I wanted to dedicate this column to my kids, to let them know their daddy loves them and can't wait until the late nights that we'll spend in the shop together. They're on my mind all of the time-the mind of Macias.
