Hardluck of the Month
Brian Meyers knows a thing or two about bad luck. We've all seen the stories of the guys who have lost their trucks in tragic accidents, but Brian's story is particular in one way. You see, his truck had only been finished the way you see it for three hours when it got plowed by a fullsize truck. That's right, three hours! To add insult to injury, "the fuzz" never showed up. (That's police for you lingo-impaired.) So, what happened to the drunken mofo who ran over the truck? He simply put his truck in Reverse and drove off into the sunset with a scuffed bumper. Now, that's a crappy deal.
The minitruckin' scene has always had its bible on paper, known as Mini Truckin' mag, but for those who can't read there is a wide selection of videos available that showcase our dedicated lifestyle. Most of those DVDs cover the West Coast and the Third Coast very well, but there was a gap in the coverage: the Northeast. Well, don't worry! That's where Draggin' Thru comes in. Watching this video, you get a good sense for things from the Left Coast, and to make it better, Justin and crew also do some traveling. Covering shows from Showfest in the South to the Low Rollers show in Jersey, these guys got it all. Watch a preview of the video and get more information on how to order it from their MySpace site at www.myspace.com/dragginthruproductions.
Rendering of the Month
Somebody should have an online rendering show. There are so many high-quality renderings it's amazing. In this month's issue, we have two examples of some serious face transplants. Front-end conversions seem to be as popular today as they were five years ago. The only difference is, today we're seeing completely modified sheetmetal conversions, not just headlight and bumper swaps.
Kustomz Ink Klothing is our sponsor of the infamous MT Ink section. We figured it makes a great pair! Make sure to check out www.kustomzink.com for the latest on kustom minitruck gear. Once again, it seems that minitruckers are as down as they come-whether it's reppin' their club, their favorite magazine, or just our one-of-a-kind lifestyle in general. The tattoos remain one of the most popular lifestyle sections, so make sure to keep submitting your pics to firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure a shot at getting in the mag.
