Haters, step off! Rusty Lowe has learned to ignore any and all negativity that gets anywhere near him. Actually, he has utilized all that bad energy into fuel for building his Toyota the way HE wanted it done. The tons of airbrush work, the engine compartment, all the interior and body mods were done to fulfill his wants and desires, and nothing or nobody was going to get in his way.

Rusty has been in love with the minitruck scene since the tender age of 12, and he says "I started like everyone else—with a 'bagged S-10." After awhile, he knew it was time to ditch the Dime and start on something completely different. The Toyota was purchased as an in-progress project, and the process of tailor fitting it to his personal specifications was soon under way. "The truck needed a lot more work than I thought. I went through and fixed some stuff and after I got it back from paint, we had to pull the body off and put in a new clutch." Buying a used vehicle, let alone one that has already undergone heavy slicing and dicing, is always a risk—it just goes with the turf. Rusty plugged away at the problem areas and kept the progress flowing.

… remember kids—haters gonna hate.

Once the suspension and body work was taken care of, Rusty decided to cook up a paint scheme that would give ammo to all the hatin' individuals out there at shows and on the 'Net. He wanted something loud for the exterior of his truck—with artwork that would inspire some talk. With a vision of mean airbrushing in mind, Rusty looked directly at Shon Reese and Jason Miles of Diverse Customs to wield the gun. Knowing they would be involved, Rusty knew that the results would be nothing short of cool—or boring for that matter. And what else would inspire a reaction from the crowd more than psychotic looking clowns? Well, try a whole gang of them. Nearly every square inch of the Toyota's surface is dripping with airbrushed details depicting evil ass jokers of all types. Look close enough, and you'll see a couple punker clowns, one that looks like he's straight from the 'hood, and a few that will probably end up haunting you in your sleep. Don't laugh—it just might happen.

With paint as loud and in-yo-face as that, the disapprovers out there will surely be lining up to cast their stone—it's just how they operate. Rusty knows this and tells us that's what kept truckin' on the build, "haters—they really do motivate me." Throughout the length of the build, he must've dealt with his fair share of horse poop from people he could care less about in order to develop an outlook such as that, but really, who likes a sh*t-talker? Nobody. And with that little mystery solved, we'll hand the spotlight back to Rusty. But before we do, remember kids—haters gonna hate.
