The coolest thing this Toyota has going for itself is it's mostly factory-fresh good looks. Well, that and the fact that its been 'bagged and 'bodied to tuck 22s without a hint of a problem. And on top of all that, this brand-new truck sees plenty of road time as it eats up nearly 100 miles a day during the workweek. This truck has a crapload of cool points stacked in its favor, and owner Justin Merryman knows it.

Peeking inside the cab, underhood, or even in the bed won't reveal any hidden tricks, except for an aftermarket head unit. But don't be disappointed—the streamlined appearance is by design. The new body style Taco is already a handsome devil to begin with, so why tamper with something that's tamperproof? That would be sheer foolishness, but there's always room for improvements. We have actually heard that Justin will be changing up a few things and pushing the truck's styling a little further into the custom realm, but his secrets are safe with us. For now, we'll just focus on today.

In the world of customs, it's commonplace to see show trucks trailered around between states, but to see one blast out on a 1,000-mile roundtrip journey to hit a show, and be ready for commuter duty on Monday is definitely refreshing. “I drive the truck over 85 miles a day back and forth to work,” says Justin proudly. It would be a shame to see the truck parked in a driveway or garage all weeklong since it's still brand new and all.

We'll see what the future brings for this clean machine, but until its metamorphosis is unveiled, get lost in its simplicity.

I drive the truck over 85 miles a day back and forth to work.
