"I like to meet new people and share ideas, drink beer and have fun" says John Miller. This isn't an excerpt taken from his Match.com bio, it's John's personal outlook on what keeps things interesting for him in the world of building and driving custom vehicles. We met up with him in Louisiana for the Lake Front Tour show—a 14-hour cruise from his hometown of St. Louis he made with nothing but the open road to keep him company.

"I started getting into minitrucks and lowriders back in 1991. My brother Chris and his friends all had some sort of custom car or truck but I started with lowriders. I've built a lot of Impalas but after I fell in love with minis, I haven't had a lowrider since." Not only does John have a fleet of old school rides under his belt already, but he's knocked out a couple Silverados, but more importantly he's also built a couple Rangers, a Colorado, and several S-10s. Which moves us to his latest truck—this eye-catching, daily driven 4Runner. Although John purchased it as a completed package, he's been driving the piss out of it and is currently in the process of ripping into it for the sake of leaving his own stink behind. We were given the details of what's all included in the redesign, but we aren't ones to gossip so we'll let nature take its course.

And where will John get the funding to allow for the complete reshaping of an already killer truck? "My kids' college fund", says John with a weird smirk on his face. We'd worry for their futures, if only we weren't so wrapped up in the business of featuring badass minitrucks. The only advice we can give to John's kiddies is to learn to love flipping burgers to pay for their way through higher education because we won't be attempting to talk him out of what he has planned.
