Jake Montellano has proven that when it comes to building clean minis, the Northwest can hang with the rest of the country. Jake not only represents the Northwest, he also represents his club Show 'N Low, and the work of Chop 'N' Drop.
Jake started his project by doing all of the suspension work on his Toyota. The air suspension consists of Firestone airbags in the front and rear, 2-inch drop spindles, and a Pete & Jake's chrome four-link. Chop 'N' Drop is responsible for bringing this truck to the ground, via a 3-inch body-drop. Once the drop was completed, they moved on to the body, where the traditional items were removed and smoothed out. Jake wishes he would have put in a bigger back window, but overall the bodywork, which was performed by Chop 'N' Drop, came out flawless.
To finish off the truck, Jake dropped it off at Red Fab Kustoms for some Monza Red paint. The color really makes the truck stand out in a crowd. Jake decided to get his hands dirty and finish off the interior on his own. By using some Saturn bucket seats and some Alter Image dash inserts, Jake brought the truck to a close, and to the pages of Mini Truckin' magazine.
