Living in the land down under isn't all about chasing kangaroos and hugging koalas. There's some serious pavement-pounding going on as well. Nobody does it better than Luke in his '93 Toyota crew cab. As a member of Ground Level Minis in Australia, Luke prides himself on being a good representative of not only his club but the Aussie scene. You see, they don't have a huge scene out there, and trucks like this will only help it improve.
Many of us minitruckers in the U.S. really don't know jack about Australia. When we think of the land down under we think of kangaroos, Foster's Beer commercials, smoking-hot blondes like Nicole Kidman, and Steve Irwin the Crocodile Hunter (RIP). But recently, thanks to our "top bloke" in charge here at Mini Truckin', Mr. Mike Alexander, we've been able to get a better look at what's going on down under. We've got some serious minitrucking madness going on.
Luke's Toyota is an awesome example. First of all, the crew cab is as huge down there as S-trends - oops, I mean S-10s - are here. Therefore, when Luke was going to build his first mini he went straight to the awesome Toyota crew cab, which he tells us he loved the body style and shape of. So where did the motivation for this truck come from you ask, "My top mates in Ground Level MiniTrucks AU. Also the U.S. scene, because it's so big."
I think many U.S. guys are going to get their inspiration from seeing the cleanliness of this Toyota and its amazing four doors, which really set it apart from what we're used to. I know many people out here would kill for a crew-cab Toyota.
What's in the future for this toy? Well, Luke tells us that a new motor and body drop are definitely in store for this beauty and we can't wait. Luke would like to send a huge shout-out to everybody who helped in the build, especially Living Low Customs and his boys from Ground Level MiniTrucks.
