For most guys who build their first mintruck, they use it as a learning experience, and that's just what Jesse Brown of Fort Worth, Texas, did with this Nissan 720. It all started out in 1996 when he and his friend David started working late into the night on both of their trucks. You see, Jesse was just starting his career as a mechanic and David was getting his feet wet as a bodyman. When they started building the truck, Jesse didn't really know the direction he wanted to go with his truck, he just knew what he liked. So, Jesse and David got underway by shaving everything that stood out or took away from the natural lines of the 720, then they went in and cut out all the truck's stock suspension.

Like most minitruckers, laying the framerails is just not good enough these days. So Jesse took his work in progress to Ekstensive Metalworks for them to do the 21⁄2-inch bodydrop and all the sheetmetal work to help set the Nissan's rockers on the ground. After the guys at Ekstensive finished with their tasks, the truck made its back home for its first custom paint session.

Jesse drove his freshly dipped creation hitting up as may shows as he could and just plain getting his roll on. After seeing the wear and tear that was plaguing his truck, Jesse decided to take it all apart and give it a good going though. A new set of Slam 'bags found their way under the truck, and running from them were shiny copper hard lines. After finishing the suspension overhaul, the 720 was shipped off to Bill Seaton for a fresh paint, and after that, Cal's Top Shop spruced up the interior to where it is today.

With everything said and done, Jesse has to say the 10-year build has had its ups and downs. He's even had a few friends and family members disagree with the time and money he sank into his pride and joy but he wouldn't have it any other way.
