If there’s any truck out there that would require you to get a shot just from looking too closely at it, it’s definitely this one. But what else would you expect a dude nicknamed “Rusty” to build? Yeah, this S-10 is downright dirty looking, and you might not like it, but that’s OK. There’s plenty of us who dig its “don’t give a eff” styling.
But it’s not even a matter of taking pride in being rancid. Just imagine saving the time and effort spent waxing and polishing. That alone could cause a man addicted to shine to kick the detail kit to the curb. In all seriousness though, it really does take a certain type of personality to see the beauty of metal that’s buried beneath layers of severe oxidation. We’re at a loss for the exact technical personality type or term that may be (c’mon we’re not students of modern medicine here) but Marquis Cloud definitely fits the profile. When he set out to concoct his own custom, he was sure of a few things—that he liked hot rods, Rat rods, and minitrucks. Ah, now we’re getting somewhere. All three distinct influences were then tossed into a junked blender, and whipped into a filthy froth.

And despite it’s appearance, this truck does drive—pretty damn well, actually. To celebrate the end of a four-year thrash on the truck, Marquis selected Showfest 2012 as the destination for its maiden voyage. We’re happy to report it’s been smooth sailing since then but the number of tetanus-infected eyeballs has been steadily on the rise. Oh well, it’s nothing a shot in the ass can’t cure.
