2002 Chevy S-10 As a freelance automotive journalist, I always get the same phone calls from friends. It starts off with "Hey, you gotta check out this truck."
Sometimes it winds up that your friend owes another friend a favor or that he might just want a date with someone's sister and figured he could sweeten the pot by possibly getting the truck shot for Mini Truckin'. Well when I got the call on Bradley Calhoun's 2002 S-10, I knew it would be worth the trip to Georgia to check it out. Bradley is a member of the GA chapter of AcrophobiA, and as you probably know, you have to have something pretty special to roll with these cats.
The truck started out as Bradley's daily driver back in 2003, but all it took was the addition of clear taillights, and he was hooked for good. He quickly learned what it takes to be a dedicated minitrucker-late night parts runs, making a lot of new friends, and almost losing the love of his life due to working late on the truck. But after a little over two years time Bradley built one of the classiest S-10s we've seen in some time. It's a truck that every inch has been touched, but still retains its everyday drivability, which is hard to accomplish at any level.
After all the hassle and heartache, Bradley has one of the cleanest driven trucks that you will see cruisin' the tough streets of the Georgia. And his wife will still let him hang out with the boys every now and then. For more info on all the mods performed, check out the Lowdown.
