CLUB: Devious Intentions

Walking around shows all over the South, Justin picked up some ideas he liked and ran with them while building his own show truck. Beginning with the chassis, Justin bolted on a set of Shockwaves up front and an Air Ride Technologies Air Bar rear kit to give him that adjustable setup he was looking for. Under the hood lies the Vortec 4.3L adorned with painted plastics, and several polished metal pieces for those added show points.

Moving inside, Justin's stock seats were scrapped in favor of four Recaro bucket seats wrapped with gray and red suede. The dash was pulled out of the Blazer along with the door panels and painted to match the exterior color. In addition to the crazy loud audio setup, a one-piece center console starts up front under the dash, continues back between the rear bucket seats, and goes up and over the massive sub box.

To execute the buildup of the spine-twisting sounds, Justin hooked up with Robbie Hardin who used his talents to build the one-off custom speaker enclosure. The chest-pounding woofers are backed by two Cadence amplifiers, while the sound is balanced with eighteen Power Bass components. A DB amplifier powers the mids and highs and brings a whole new level of elevation to the sounds. Streetwires power cable supplies the juice, while a JVC head unit handles music commands and system management. Three video monitors contribute viewing pleasure to go along with all the listening entertainment.

Justin had a clear vision in mind when he started on this project. A vision of a bass-rattling Bow Tie built to hit the high SPL numbers and pull the gold hardware at the shows. With a little perseverance and commitment, his dream finally became a reality.
