For Michael Page, the switch from the Import scene to minitruckin' was sudden and unexpected, but deep inside, very much wanted. A trip with friends to a truck show, was all that was needed to bring out the minitrucker within him. Michael teamed up with a custom shop in Forney, Texas to help him with the build. His ultimate payoff was seeing his truck off jackstands and complete two years later.
It all started for Michael while he was in boot camp. His Honda Accord was hit and the insurance company totaled the car. While this may be devastating for many people, this was good news for Michael, who had already wanted a truck anyway. After leaving basic training, he quickly picked up a Sonoma and went to see his hometown buddy, Charles Buster Jr. What started as just a simple bag job eventually turned into this custom creation. It's what Michael refers to as the "Domino Effect."
Overall, the modifications are up to par with other top trucks. The Sonoma features a completely shaved body, ground-hugging stance, 20-inch wheels and multicolor graphics. Suicide doors and an enclosed bed add a little something extra to Michael's Sonoma in the body mod department. Interior updates include custom suede and vinyl accented with painted fiberglass center console. Buster Paint & Body of Forney, Texas is not only responsible for the framework, body drop, interior and bodywork, they also painted the entire truck.
Once every bolt was tightened and screw put in place, Michael was glad the roller coaster ride was over and he could see the final product. From the Envoy front-end conversion to the tribal taillights on the smooth tailgate, Michael's Sonoma is the definition of a clean, smooth custom truck that will turn heads for many years to come. For now, Michael is content just to enjoy it
