Jeff Applegreen was a mini-trucker -- a mini-trucker whose passion was slammed trucks. Why are we speaking in the past tense? This is because at Greenville for Assorted's Showfest we saw his sick Riviera Blue S-10. It looked like it was pretty much done for us. There were still a few kinks to work out, so Indy would have to be our next meeting spot. To our surprise the truck was at Indy, done but with a new owner.
It turns out that Jeff had only put a handful of miles on his truck since it was painted and put back together. I guess a few hot laps around the block were enough, as he sold it to one of its builders, Brad Efting. Brad had been working for some time with Jeff on the S-10, getting the body cleaned up and shaving off all of the unneeded fixtures. Right before the completion Jeff decided to take on a different path in the form of a Ford Focus. We know what you're saying: Wow, how do you go from a sick bagged and body-dropped ride to a Ford Focus? We don't know. Only God and Jeff have that answer.
What Brad told us is that he just hated to see it go after the work he had put into it. Since he had a big part in the build of the truck, there was no shame in picking it up. The truck was so close to being done. We would've been heartbroken ourselves if someone didn't take the extra steps to make sure that Unfocused got its moment of fame. As it sits now, Unfocused has yet another owner. It seems as though this truck can't hold a relationship.
