Jerry and Amanda Hill of Knoxville, Tennessee, make up a fabulous team, as their current custom illustrates. With their brain power and the handiwork of the illustrious crew at Bullock's Body Werks, anything was possible, including making their dull '97 S-10 a neck-breaker.
With Bullock's located about four hours away from Jerry, plenty of driving took place. Every few weeks, Jerry would make the trek to see the progress on his "second wife" while trying not to piss off his first. Bullock's Body Werks is tried-and-true, so there was no guesswork about how Jerry's baby would turn out.
Every aspect of Bad Habit was massaged by the crew at Bullock's. From the paint to the suspension and the engine disassembly to the shaved firewall, Bullock's molested everything. The only aspect of the truck that the Bullock's guys didn't have their hands in was the upholstery. We're pretty sure they would have tried, but tweed and welders don't seem to go hand in hand.
Fortunately for Jerry, there haven't been too many mishaps in the life of his S-10. The worst that has happened is a blown air line or two. Not bad for a full-blown custom. Since Jerry and Amanda are both in high spirits, project number two is in the works. The Classifieds is the current topic of discussion, as Jerry and Amanda envision their next adventure together.
On the next go-around, Jerry and Amanda vow to get their hands as dirty as possible. Jerry says that even if he has to buy a piece-of-junk trailer queen (not the kind you're thinking of) to practice on, then so be it. Amanda wants nothing more than to own her own ride to put Jerry to shame. It's a race!
