For our 20th Anniversary we dug deep into the past. We cracked open our vault of old Mini Truckin' mags, beginning with Volume 1, Issue 1, sifted through all the old trends to see how we progressed into the styles of today. We discovered the history of minitruckin' is a rich one, full of innovative trends, along with clean and simple drivers. Also, one of the main reasons why minitruckin' became so popular in the late '80s and early '90s was a person could build a cool little cruiser in a weekend and enjoy it with friends for years to come, all with little money out of pocket.
Our goal here on Mini Truckin' magazine is to be a magazine of the people, by the people, and for the people. For this reason, we decided to revisit an old section, which used to feature everyday cruisers, called "Street Scene." Past issues used to feature a clean custom, that wasn't necessarily 'bagged, body-dropped, sporting the craziest mods, or even had the wildest paintjob. In the spirit of celebrating our birthday, we're going to reopen this section and reintroduce it in this issue of MT in Part 1 of our 20th Anniversary Special. This renewed section is called "Hometown Heroes," and every month we will feature a cool mini, possibly from your neighborhood!
