Some of ASC's project rides include a Toyota Stout and a Datsun NL320.
As Australia continues to grow its minitruck community, the demand for custom work and parts is on the rise. What started off as a small underground community-that was everyone for themselves and all that could be done was any mod you could accomplish on your own in your shed-has grown into an industry. There are many shops up and down the East Coast of Australia, doing everything from suspension and paint to interior and stereo work. This has substantially increased the quality of rides built, and in the last few years, a few shops have made names for themselves. We got a chance to check out Adjustable Suspension Components (ASC), the Chop Shop, and Living Low Customs (LLC), which are all hard at work building some of the baddest rides down under. For more information, contact the companies listed.
ASC opened its doors in January 2007, next door to the well-known Chop Shop. Although there were a few very skilled shops installing air components in Australia, there weren't many retail parts and accessory stores. All the DIY guys needed a place to buy kits and accessories, and they could walk in any time and grab that one fitting or extra length of airline they needed. ASC strives to supply the Australian minitruck market with all of the hard-to-find gear direct from the United States, including all Grant Kustoms gear, Mini Truckin' mags, airbag parts, and more. As the slogan states, "Cheap parts aren't good, good parts aren't cheap." ASC is minitrucker owned, operated, with advice and suggestions that come from real-world experience.

Greeny takes pride in his work, his trucks, the minitruck community, and his club. Too bad all he knows how to say is "Damn it!" Ha ha. | |
