Next time you're going down the road and you see a dualie about to pass you on the outside, take a second look to see if it's been shrunk in the dryer. When the idea came across the board to Garret Mosley of Plaquemine, Louisiana, to make his Stepside '01 S-10 a dualie-flavored mini, skepticism was the only thing that came to mind.
Premier Concepts' Boyd, aka "Budda," came up with the idea to make Garret's soon-to-be-custom a dualie: shave the front steps and widen the bed from the middle, creating a dualie effect. Garret definitely wasn't with the creative thinking of Premier Concepts off the bat. Once Boyd showed him the rendering he had scratched out, though, the decision was made. Garret couldn't pass up the opportunity of having something this unique.
The finished form of Garret's project is truly something to be reckoned with. The gamble paid off and Garret's prize is one sic, original mini. Parking may be a hair harder, turns may be a little wider, and he may not be hugging that wall in the fast lane on the freeway, but nobody ever said clowning doesn't have some drawbacks.
