California may not have as many big shows as say Texas or other clusters of states in the South, but when we have one, it is well attended. The last big show in the Golden State since Danger Zone was Forbidden Fantasy, which was 20 days before and roughly 250 miles south of DZ ground zero. The minitruck scene in Central California is alive and thriving, boasting some slick builds and exciting up-and-coming projects.
Mooney Grove Park, in Visalia, was overtaken by hundreds of customs for Dangerous Toys’ one-day show. Some of the minis in attendance have already had their 15 minutes of MT fame, and for others, their time is coming so be on the lookout. Danger Zone continues to be a force to be reckoned with in the West, so make it a point to show up next year. Bring your ride, whether it’s in primer and without its bed or in sparkling new paint—just come out and represent!
