With so much happening in the Northwest mini-truck scene, we decided to go up for a couple shows and check out all the new and exciting trucks. After attending Drop Zone in Oregon, we wanted to venture a little farther north, so we headed to Washington to cover Sittin' Pretti's Summer Slam XI. Sittin' Pretti has an excellent reputation for throwing a dope one-day show, not to mention having some badass mini-trucks.
The show wasn't a huge three-day show that brought out 500-plus vehicles, but it did represent big, with the mini-truck crowd bringing out more than 170 minis. It seems that in the North, there's a particular loyalty to mini-trucks, and the owners work on them every winter to bring out something different each time show season comes around. Sittin' Pretti also knows what it takes to keep the showgoers entertained. The club had a variety of cool games and contests, including the infamous mini-truckers scavenger hunt; the DJ announces an item (for example, an airbag), and the first person to run up to the booth with that item gets the prize. It was fun not only to participate, but also to watch, as people ran around the showgrounds coming up with all sorts of odds 'n' ends.
There was also an air hop-off contest, where Mother Goose Customs was the favorite, hopping more than 3 feet and busting its gas tank in the process. We were having so much fun checking out all the vendors and events and just hangin' out that we almost didn't have enough time to get around to all the minis. Don't worry, though. We made it.

The twins pondered, "Are Mary Kate and Ashley already 18? We need to get a hold of them."
