The weekend-long truck run has been a staple in this scene, and carrying the torch of that tradition is Tex Mex. In its sixth year, this Texas heavy-hitter event didn’t disappoint even with the annoying winds that blew layers of dust and dirt on every ride out there!
As expected, the show attracted visitors from the surrounding areas in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, and plates from Florida were even spotted. Now if that doesn’t speak volumes about the show’s mass appeal, we just don’t know what else to tell you. But if you really need some convincing, stop reading now and just look at the pretty pictures already.
For those of you who stuck around to read on: Thanks. Where were we? Oh yeah, Tex Mex is known for engaging the crowd with tons of games and contests, and this year’s Minitrucker Olympics was just as crazy as in years past. And how can you go wrong with a four-day truck show that takes place steps away from Lake Somerville? Exactly—you can’t!
If you were in attendance this year, these photos should be nice for scrapbooking. If you weren’t out at the show, hope they make you just a wee bit jealous.
