Eastern Tennessee's largest car and truck is and always will be Layd Out for as long as it continues to keep on truckin'. The three-day extravaganza packs in rides from all across the Eastern and Central Time zones, and even pulls a few from North of border. LOATP is definitely a celebration of spring and the return of ideal show time weather.
Aside from a few exceptions, there isn't really a whole lot that separates this show from others throughout the year. But the exceptions are huge. One, being the amount of quality trucks that pop up at this event— it's enough to keep photographers and show goers on a constant loop around the park all weekend. Second, the overall atmosphere at Layd Out has a calm and kickback air about it that's hard to come by at such a large show. The moral of this story is next April, get off your ass and make it out to Cherokee Park for one of the most amazing weekends of your life (OK, maybe for the month at least).
