This Dime is sporting some serious flake action.
The year 2011 marked year two for new show owners Mike McKeever, Dustin Ford, and Travis Griffin. They proved that they plan on carrying out their own spin on the popular show for years to come. A very laid-back atmosphere, a live DJ, and club games all weekend long made for an unforgettable time this year. On Saturday night, the cruise with police and dragging competition that started at Ghost Town amusement park was a big hit as always. The town of Maggie Valley was very accommodating toward the minitruckers and allowed for legal cruising most of the night and hanging out with friends until the wee hours of the morning. The awards handed out were all hand-built, one-of-a-kind metal trophies awarded to the top 50 and 13 specialty classes. A special shout out goes to Tony and Lacey at Precision Rides for sponsoring the club games, and thanks to all the vendors who came out to support this show.
Also, thank you to the 200 vehicle owners who registered their rides and the thousands who attended—you helped make the show a big success yet again. Let’s make next year’s show bigger and better than ever!
