Scrapin' the Smokies returned after taking a year vacation. Brandon Burrell, his wife Christine, and their family and friends have successfully organized this event, held at the WNC Ag Center, in Asheville, North Carolina, for the fourth year, and they plan on keeping it going strong.
Scrapin' attracted 2,250 spectators and 250 registered vehicles that made the trip from as far as Michigan, Kansas, Alabama, and even Puerto Rico! A huge assortment of raffle prizes were given out, including a $2,500 credit toward a Lost Cause paintjob. Other events included a bikini contest sponsored by Precision Rides, a kid's coloring duel hosted by Inked Baby Clothing, and a Hooters hot wing-eating contest featuring a special sauce that is hotter than the one sold to the general public.
Next year's event is already in the works and is scheduled for June 11-12 at the exact same location. Check scrapinthesmokies.com and facebook.com/scrapinthesmokies for updated information.
A show wouldn't be the same without a game of cornhole. Nice form, guy in the blue hat!
This little green machine is near completion. Stay tuned.
Say hello to the bikini contest finalists.
