Known as one of the country's largest car clubs, it's a given that when Relaxed Atmosphere throws a show it's going to be huge.
This year's Allstar Event, held at the USA Baseball Stadium during the weekend of September 3-5, is a prime example of just that. It was their 7th annual event, and it managed to grow as it does every year. Because the show is held in western Tennessee in early September, you never know what you're going to get from Mother Nature. The weather could be extremely hot and muggy or cool and rainy. This year's event managed to have perfect weather-not too hot, yet still comfortable and sunny.
With the show being in the little town of Millington, there is a small-town, laid-back atmosphere, but if that's not what you're into, a 20-minute drive to Memphis can fix that with a world-class nightlife experience. There is even a two-block section of Beale Street that gets closed down and is lined with bars and nightclubs. If you can't find something around to keep you busy after the show is closed, then you must be dead.
At the show on Sunday, things went pretty smoothly as they always do at this event. The Best-of winners were directed onto the baseball diamond so the crowd couls see who won the top prizes. This year, the awards started earlier than expected, which allowed the spectators and participants from far away to get an early start toward home. This helped a lot because this is a show that people drive to from as far away as New York and Arizona.
