The Relaxed Atmosphere Show in Millington, Tennessee, was so good, there was even a party in jail to celebrate it. Just ask the notorious R.J. from Chicago about it, and I'm sure he'll fill you in. This year's show was no joke-the show field was as impressive as it gets with more than 320 of the area's finest vehicles. And many of those rides were impressive RA vehicles.

Roughly 4,000 spectators walked through the gates over the weekend. Most of them, I heard, came to watch the banana-eating contest, and if you missed it, then you have no idea what a good time you missed-we know, we have the pictures to prove it. Besides the banana-eating contest, you could also spend a few hours walking the show field and checking out the assortment of past and future cover trucks. You could also check out a handful of hot rods, which have become a common site at minitruck shows. With the absence of Showfest in our yearly lineup, the RA show has stepped up with the nightlife and looks promising as the show to go to in the South.

The RA crew would like to congratulate Alan "Farva" Jackson for taking Best of Show with his past cover truck, Blazerado. They would also like to thank their sponsors: Big Willies Rod Shop, Bullocks Body Werks, Drop 'Em Wear?, Gaylord's Kustom Fiberglass Truck Lids and Accessories, Grant Kustoms, Kinetik, Little Shop of Horrors, MA Audio, Silver Star Customs, Slik Monkey Designs, Twin State Customs, and West Coast Customs. Next year's show is again scheduled for Labor Day weekend, which is Sept. 1-2. Oh, and one last thing: The guys at RA would like to ask everyone to not stay at Best Western next year.
