Six years ago, a member of the West Palm Beach Chapter of Xtreme Lowz was involved in a life-threatening motorcycle accident. Unlike your friends, who would've just pointed at you and laughed, his friends and club brothers put together a blood drive and truck show to help raise money and save his life. A little more than half a decade later, Blooddrag, a mid-February show, has grown into one of the must-attend shows on the East Coast.
This two-day event attracted more than 1,100 show vehicles, with some coming from as far as New York, and upwards of 8,000 spectators from across the U.S., as well as a few international visitors. The majority of trucks that scraped into the South Florida Fairgrounds this year were S-10s, Toyotas, and Nissans. One such S-10 was Brad Spears' body-dropped dime that tucked 22s all the way around after slight rocker and tire modifications, and placed First in the mini-truck Wild Class.
True to form, Eddy Cebreco hosted the $1,000 bikini competition sponsored by Sassy Kat Lingerie, which pulled more than 15 girls from the West Palm Beach, Florida, area. Each girl had a chance to dance, grind, and contort for the crowd's viewing pleasure. Janelle, a local dancer, took the age-old skin-to-win strategy and showed off her custom-made microbikini, as well as her custom bolt-ons. Needless to say, she walked away with the title of Miss Blooddrag '04.
Eddy and the rest of the Xtreme Lowz team acknowledges that without sponsors such as Godfather Customs, Line-X, Maguires, Scrapin' Customs, Tops Auto Upholstery, and Toyo Tires, the show wouldn't take place. Make sure to join us next year and witness the Blooddrag experience for yourself. For more information, contact: Eddy, firstname.lastname@example.org; www.blooddraginc.com.
