One of the largest shows in the Midwest also happens to be the most eclectic. Slamology combines a bit of music with two days stacked with a solid lineup and a full-blown custom car show that draws visitors from states all over. The combination has proved to be a successful mixture of lifestyles perfectly suited for a minitruck-heavy crowd.
As reports predicted, nasty thunderstorms dumped rain on Saturday afternoon and continued throughout the night and into early Sunday p.m. hours. The showers didn’t entirely spoil the party though, as the scheduled bands promised to keep jamming rain or shine. From hard rock, to hip-hop, to roots rock, to live DJs, Slamology guaranteed to deliver musical acts everyone in the crowd would dig, and they didn’t disappoint.
To further infuse Slamology with a deeply-rooted rock ’n’ roll soul, the official Saturday night after-party was held at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Indy where the live music continued until the taps ran dry. If it wasn’t for Slamology’s wide appeal, the weather could’ve presented a potential for instant failure, but luckily those enjoying the good time saw it as a minor interference.
