We always look forward to hitting up a new show, driving in a new direction to parts unknown. But in the case of Best of the Midwest, we found ourselves making a trip to a town that a lot of local minitruckers remember from back in the day.
For the third year, the members of Infamous Toys have brought back a great truck show held at the Missouri State Fair Grounds in beautiful Sedalia. On Saturday morning, people started showing up early to take advantage of the cool weather, which is very rare during the summer in this part of the country.
The members of Infamous Toys provided entertainment for everyone all day long with a live DJ, club wars, games, a truck limbo contest, and a vendor row for people to stock up on great parts. When the show officially ended on Saturday afternoon, the good times kept on rolling. The coolest part of the entertainment lineup was a big MMA tournament featuring local fighters, who made it clear who's bad and who needs to spend more time training. When the last bout wrapped up, the crowd moved to the Rumors nightclub for the show's official after-party.
Sunday was cut short due to rain, but everyone crammed in under any available pop-up tent to dry off before the award ceremony started. When you start planning which shows to hit next year, put Best of the Midwest on your list because the hosts will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing time.
