What happens when your local fairgrounds in Sedalia, Missouri, gets a new commissioner with a 17-year-old son who is a minitrucker and shows his dad some pics and video? For the Low 4 Life crew, you get cited with seven indecent exposures to a minor and thrown out. So, at the last minute, Justin and his crew had to find a new location for the show. But, it didn't matter. The new location was just down the road in Warrensburg, Missouri, on a new weekend.
Even with all of the changes, the show was bigger than ever. Show participants came from as far north as Minnesota and as far south as Louisiana. The show grounds were covered in S-10s and under-construction vehicles to feature quality Mazdas. Saturday started off on the wet side, but it burned off quick with clear blue skies and sunshine the rest of the weekend. Clubs participated in events such as tug-o-war, an ice-cream relay, a little running, milk, some more running, and warm beer, which made for a dreadful combination. There was also a minitrucker scavenger hunt. When it was all said and done, Definite Obsessions took home the trophy for the club wars. Saturday ended with Oliver from DTV becoming a mud sandwich with a couple of guys. (Don't ask!)
All in all, the show was a great time, as always. For next year's show, make sure to check out www.midwestdragfest.com.
