It’s been quite some time since we’ve been to a show in Virginia, but thanks to Resurrection, we were easily lured back! Jess and Beejay Anderson and Tommy Grimes worked really hard to pull this off, and we all know the state of VA just loves minitruckers. Not only is the location great, but the host hotel is literally at the entrance of Kings Dominion amusement park!
The staff really had their act together from registration to judging, and everything seemed to flow smoothly, which is surprising for a first-year show. The Resurrection crew kept the crowd entertained all weekend with club games, including some very entertaining karaoke. There were plenty of vendors on hand for all the latest must-haves, from Drop ’Em Wear? shirts to custom fabricating by the likes of Metalworx Inc. The rain came on Saturday night but didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. The parking lot looked like a tent city with all the EZ Ups erected and 200 people under them until the wee hours of the night.
This show pretty much kicked things off for the season on the East Coast, and it didn’t disappoint.
