The third stop for the Powered by GM Havoc tour was once again held at Beech Bend in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Throughout the packed two-day event, it seemed impossible to keep up with everything going on within the park. On the side of the park, riders were whipped around by one of the many rides in the amusement park. If water was more your thing to cool off from the heat, a water park was at your disposal, and if you wanted to get away from all the activities, you could make your way back over to the campground and relax.
After walking the show and scoping out all the hot rides, you could turn your attention over to the drag strip where Sport Truck Magazine held their annual Sport Truck Challenge. If that wasn't enough excitement TS Performance came out and put on a clinic with its Dodge diesel trucks running in the nine second range. There was even a diesel powered top-fuel dragster with a turbo so big it resembled an engine off a private jet. Capping off Saturday was the Mini Truckin' Magazine drag competition that more than 30 trucks entered.
Before the awards ceremony, 13 of the sweetest-looking ladies got into their favorite bikinis and strutted their stuff in front of a charged crowd, the ladies were so hot it even turned the judges chairs into silly putty. When it was all said and done, the gorgeous Donna Weber walked away with the $1,000 Grand Prize.
Beech Bend Park is the perfect summertime destination for a fun show. It was a match made in heaven, and the turnout was better than we had last year. The show field grew in size, with nearly 400 trucks doing battle for prizes, trophies, shot glasses, and bragging rights. By all accounts, the show was killer, and we're looking forward to doing it even bigger and better next year.

Events: The quarter-mile dragstrip was open to all registered show vehicles that wanted to race. With the show being outdoors, vehicles were allowed to cruise around. Saturday night, there was a sanctioned draggin' event in the oval track. Before the award ceremony on Sunday there was a bikini contest held around the starting lie of the drag strip. The $1,000 in cash prizes brought out 13 lovely ladies that were willing to walk the line in front of the crowd. Also the show was filed with various vendors selling everything from parts for you ride to apparel to get you noticed in. If that wasn't enough, then you could also check out the roller coasters at Beech Bend's amusement park.
