Oaktown Trucks hosted its 3rd Annual Custom Rides for Saving Lives show, which was held in Lake Orion, Michigan. Participants came from all over Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana to hang with fellow custom fans and help support this great cause.

This year's show started early Saturday morning, when Barely Legal Fabrication trailered in some of the sickest custom frames you've ever seen. Different events were taking place throughout the day, such as a tug 'o' war and a car and truck limbo that became an all-out drag-fest. There was also an all-day auction. Some amazing items up for bid from great companies like Air Lift, Barely Legal Fabrication, DEI, cardomain.com, Second Skin Audio, Victory Graphix, Street Legal Customs, GreySpot Design, Kris Dye Fabrication, and to top it all off Mickey Harris airbrushed a 12-gallon air tank, which had been donated by Kinetik Kustomz. Many people walked away with some amazing stuff and got to help a great cause at the same time.

As the show drew to a close, it was time to hand out some trophies, along with prize bags filled with goodies from Stoner Car Care and Mothers. This year's trophies were very unique, Victory Graphix came through with more than 30 custom-etched glass trophies. Also, the Best Engineered trophy, which was donated by PMA Motorsports, was built into a custom glass rocket ship, complete with a launch pad. It wasn't just a trophy; it was a work of art!

This year's show was a very special one and was dedicated to Aaron Varner who lost his battle with cancer at the age of 19. He was the brother of a good friend of ours and will be missed dearly.

At the end of the day, Oaktown Trucks and all the great participants raised more than $2,500 for the American Cancer Society. The members of Oaktown Trucks would like to thank all of the great sponsors, helpers, and participants that make it all possible. We'll see you next year!
