The 4th Annual CaliStyle Cruisin' In For the Kids Toy Drive is one of the Northeast's biggest minitruckin' charity causes. The attendance each year keeps growing and growing to help brighten the holidays for many kids. Every winter in the Northeast is a cruel battle against the elements and the minitruckin' community only has two reasons to come out of their warm houses and brave the weather: The East Coast Bowling Nationals and the CaliStyle Toy Drive. Many people cross state lines to get together over the winter to talk shop, talk smack, catch up on project gossip, or just have a few drinks and chill out. CaliStyle would like to send out a tremendous thanks to all those who help and support the show, and for giving the kids a holiday they won't soon forget! The success year after year is only measured by the joyous smiles of the kids.

The Lowdown
Name: CaliStyles' Cruisin' In For the Kids' Toy Drive
Location: Londontowne Community Center, Edgewater, Maryland
Date: Beginning of December 2006
Total vehicles in attendance: 75+ show trucks, but tons of "bar cars" and drivers
Spectator attendance: 350+
Fast 411: The event began soon after the loss of Cliff Brown's mother, so as to help the community. It has grown with a large effort from the entire CaliStyle club, as well as the minitruck community, which always brings it big with tons of toys and empty stomachs. People come from Connecticut, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, to Delaware just to hang out, have a blast, and help out some kids in need. All of the proceeds go to Sara's House, which is a shelter for single parents located in Fort Mead, Maryland. They always have a packed house of 150-plus. One of the volunteers said that some of these kids have never received a single Christmas present in their lives. All help and donations are much appreciated.
Events: Live band, D.J.s, giveaways, and ice ludge, and all you can eat. For $10 with a toy donation, it was all you can drink.
Sponsors: Autorush.com, Collision Car Care Center, Downtime Designs, Driven Addictions, Dropndrag.com, East Coast Printing Solutions, Get Bored Designs, Precision, The Pit Stop Bar and Grill, and a big thanks to Mid-Atlantic Deck and Fence for a generous donation.
Contact for future events: E-mail Cliff Brown at dragrocker@msn.com or visit www.cali-style.com for more information.
