To throw a giant one-day show, you need a large location paired with a dedicated staff and tons of supporters. Well, Ludikrs Kustomz knows this formula, taking advantage of its shop being conveniently located at the Rialto Airport in SoCal. The guys used what they'd learned from their first show to go all-out the second time around. In 2004, the show not only grew in size, but there was so much going on that chairs were worthless because you didn't want to sit down and risk missing anything. Trust us.
After the showgrounds were loaded with custom vehicles of all makes and models and everybody was settled in, it was time to get the party started with the air and hydraulic hop-off contests. Trucks and cars drove into the enclosed area, cranked up their bottles, and hit the switches until something broke, or time was up. The crowd favorite was definitely Daddy's Customs truck - with the help of Extreme Air Valves, the guys can flip the truck on its side using air. This thing is just nuts. When it pulled into the area, you could tell who'd seen it before because everybody took a step back.
Once the hopping was over, it was time to get back to the task at hand. We walked up and down the rows, checking out all the cool minis that had made their way from all over the state. There were badass Toyotas, Nissans, and Chevys laid to the ground, and a few other makes and models that were not to be messed with. It's always cool to see so many mini-trucks gathered in one place, no matter how long you've been doing this. Naturally, we took our time snapping pictures of all in attendance.
To wrap the show up, the infamous bikini contest was held right before the awards. Ludikrs Kustoms is known for bringing out the babes, and 2004 was no different. Five ladies showed the crowd what they were workin' with to the beat of DJ Roulette and Mad House FX's tunes. When it came time to narrow down the contestants, the crowd showed their support for the favorite, KRZ's girl, who took home First. Once the bikini contest was out of the way, Eddy Cebreco took care of trophies. With more than 5,000 people and 500 vehicles filling the day, the show was spectacular. Ludikrs would like to thank all its dedicated supporters and sponsors: Rent-A-Wheel, Full Force Suspension, Darkside, Mad House FX, Infinite Design, KRZ Customs, Devious Customs, Mac's Springs, Advanced Specialties, Merzees Paint And Body, IF Customs, GO EZ Customs, and MIC, which give away an airbag-suspension kit. This year's show will be held at the same spot on Sunday, August 21. Come out and show your support. For more information, contact: (909) 434-1999, www.ludikrskustomz.com.
