The Vegas Severed Ties chapter decided it was about time to bring back a custom mini-truck show to Sin City and the surrounding area. Forrest and his crew got together and planned their First Annual Severed Ties Show, which took place Sunday, April 4 at Hot Rod Hill in Henderson, Nevada. The club members wanted to keep things simple and just throw a one-day show that everyone could come and enjoy, with high hopes of expanding the show next year.

Vehicles and spectators rolled in early Sunday morning to set up, clean their rides, and browse what the show had in store. Many vendors were on hand selling the latest parts, clothing, and accessories to satisfy everyone's custom needs. Ice cream was being sold right out of an actual ice-cream truck with full hydraulic suspension, making us fantasize about a truck project that could pay for itself.

With all that was going on, the day flew by, and before we knew it, it was time for the trophies. Best of Show went to Clint in Xtreme Lowz. Another prize that was fought for was the Club Participation trophy, which ended in a four-way tie. Since there was only one trophy, the various club members agreed to break it and give a piece to the president of each club. Therefore, Xtreme Lowz, Freaks of Nature, Vatos Locos, and Exquisite all went home with a little something to remember the show by.

Severed Ties would really like to thank its sponsors for helping get a show started, and the members look forward to the same help next year. Special thanks go out to Action Motorsports, Bad Apple Tattoo Company, Brand One Clothing, Diablo Clothing Company, High Velocity Motorsports, Jamie at Dusk 'Till Dawn Tees, Krazy & Kustom Tint, Line-X, Musso Motorsports, Nikki Gentry at M.J. Dean for the trophies, N'Sane Motorsports, Team Acne Glass, 360 Degree Air Intakez & Powder Coating, and VIP Custom Motoring. Look for a bigger and better show next year, with a new location.
