Every year we put out one very special issue that gives a chance to all of the baddest under construction trucks out there to step into the spotlight for their 15 seconds of fame.
Each year it gets more and more difficult to pick which killer in-progress trucks should make it into this issue, much less, which one should have the honor of the cover. This year many of the trucks featured deserved to make it on the cover, but the duo of the killer Little Shop Rangers took the cake. Some of these trucks are simple and clean, some are artful, and some are downright works of art. Hopefully seeing all of these killer, not-quite-finished rides, will inspire some of you to head out to the garage and give your own current project the final tweaks that it needs to see these very same pages. So without further ado, here's some killer minis that deserve a second or even third take.
1967 Toyota Stout
18-inch Centerline Smoothies with 225/40ZR18s
'Bagged at all four corners by Stone Cold Customs using Firestone and Slam 'bags, Viair 380c compressors, and 3/8-inch valves
Body-dropped four inches by Stone Cold Customs
The purpose of the build was to keep everything stock and unmolested, even the motor, and sit it flat on the ground keeping all of the original look and feel.
Special Thanks From Owner:
I would like to thank my awesome husband for letting me buy the Stout and for keeping it as original as possible. He put in a lot of hours only three weeks before the Relaxed show, and I am so proud of him for getting it done in such a short amount of time. Thanks to Chance for helping Jim out on it. Also much love to my wonderful kids Dalton and Kinzie.
Project Completion Date:
Already Done... for now.
