Welcome to yet another primered appearance of The Construction Zone. We hope that by seeing more unfinished rides in the raw you'll come up with some new ideas of your own to complete the ride that's collecting cobwebs in your garage. We can definitely use your help to get the word out that every show-stopper was once a primer and guidecoat-covered beast with mods galore. Project LoLux
Modifications: The custom work began with a 4-inch body drop and an '86 Toyota truck frame narrowed 2 inches. Other modifications included custom crossmembers, shaved marker lights, a flush-mounted fuel filler, a shaved tailgate and molded steel roll pan, and a sheetmetal bed and bed floor. The factory engine was swapped out for a '90 Toyota 22RE engine and transmission. The interior was also updated with a '90 Toyota pickup dashboard, Toyota Celica bucket seats, and a Billet Specialties steering wheel. The final touches included an Alter Images four-link and a recessed clutch master cylinder.
Wheels/Tires: 17x7-inch Enkei Shogun with Toyo Proxes 205/40ZR17 low-profile tires.
Miscellaneous: Jerry Rose would like to thank his parents and their garage, Eric Green, Andy Sirginnis, his girlfriend Kelly Horn, Blake Brown, and all the other people who helped him take it apart and put it back together - twice. Jerry also wants everyone to know that his truck is driven everywhere.

Never Done
Body Modifications: The first thing you notice about Shane's Ford is the 4-inch body drop and how it lays out. Then you see the chrome Toyota bumper, valance, and mirrors, followed by the radius touch on the doors and the shaved cowl molded to the fenders, which is in turn molded to the rockers. Other shaved items include door handles, locks, taillights, the tailgate, rain gutters, emblems, the gas door, and post holes. A molded-in roll pan is found on the rear end with 8-inch LEDs above it.
Suspension: The ride height is helped by 2,600-pound 'bags at all four corners. Backing them up are two 3-gallon tanks, two 150-psi compressors, and 3/8-inch lines. A chrome four-link is also mounted on the rear to help with the travel.
Wheels/Tires: 17-inch Prime 123s with 205/40R17 Pirelli rubber.
