Welcome to yet another primered appearance of The Construction Zone. We hope that by seeing more unfinished rides in the raw you'll come up with some new ideas of your own to complete the ride that's collecting cobwebs in your garage. We can definitely use your help to get the word out that every show-stopper was once a primer and guidecoat-covered beast with mods galore. Body Modifications: Dennis started things off by removing and smoothing over all of the factory goodies he felt detracted from the truck's overall shape. Things such as door handles, the rear and third brake lights, the antenna, the firewall, the back bumper, and access through the tailgate were first on his to-shave agenda. Next to go was the factory bed floor that was replaced with stainless steel, complete with tubs and sides. Dennis employed the help of Taylor's Body shop to bring the body of the Sonoma down 3-1/2 inches. Other exterior modifications include a 2-inch cowl-induction hood, a solid-sided camper shell, LED taillights, and a billet aluminum insert for the grille. The custom interior upgrades consist of white leather and blue tweed, while some of the factory surfaces were left intact.
Suspension: Airbagged and four-linked all the way around.
Wheels/Tires: 20-inch inch Eagle alloy wheels with 205/35R20 inch Nitto tires.
Miscellaneous: The Herring's would like to thank Taylor's body shop, their friends, and their club mates from Lowered Atmosphere for their help in constructing the soon-to-be finished truck.
